Hello! A Little Bit About Me...

I was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, and earned my BFA along with a K–12 Art Education licensure from Metropolitan State University of Denver. My personal art practice centers on painting and sculpture, often exploring how these mediums can take on different forms and expressions. In the classroom, I encourage students to look beyond the surface, thinking critically about what they see and create. Because art is a tool for building not just skills, but also empathy, awareness, and community.

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in a constructivist approach, I believe students learn best by exploring, asking questions, and making connections for themselves. In my classroom, art isn’t just about making something that looks “perfect” it’s about discovering new ideas, experimenting with materials, and learning from mistakes. I want students to feel confident trying new things, to see art as a way to express who they are, and to understand how creativity can bring people together.
